Der vulkanische Boden und das sonnenreiche Klima verleihen den Weinen Santorins eine unverwechselbare Note. Während der regenlosen Jahreszeit decken die Rebstöcke ihren Wasserbedarf aus der Luftfeuchtigkeit, die in den Morgenstunden auf den Blättern und am Boden kondensiert. Das reicht offensichtlich für hervorragende Qualität. Insbesondere die trockenen und die süßen Weißweine genießen einen internationalen Ruf – und das schon seit der Antike!
The volcanic soil and the sunny climate give the wines of Santorini a distinctive touch. During the rainless season, the vines cover their water needs from the humidity that condenses in the morning on the leaves and on the ground. That's obviously enough for excellent quality. In particular, the dry and the sweet white wines enjoy an international reputation - and that since ancient times!
