Heute streitet sich Rethymnon mit Chania um den Titel der 'schönsten Stadt Kretas'. Die Altstadt mit ihrem venezianischen Hafen ist tatsächlich ein kleines Schmuckstück, durch das ein Hauch Orient weht.
Today Rethymnon quarrels with Chania for the title of 'most beautiful city of Crete'. The old town with its Venetian harbor is actually a small piece of jewelry, to which a touch of Orient is added.
