Thessaloniki#

Thessaloniki has been called „City of Imagination“, „Melting Pot of Humans and Countries“, „Mother of Macedonia“ and „Garden of the Muses“ ( the goddesses of the inspiration of literature, science, and the arts) and the Graces (minor goddesses of charm, beauty, nature, human creativity, and fertility).
Well, both muses and graces seem to have left the city and are hiding in the mountains.
Today the city is a loud, busy place of almost one million.
Man nannte sie die „Stadt der Phantasie“, „Schmelztiegel von Menschen und Völkern“, „Mutter Makedoniens“ und „Garten der Musen und Grazien“. Die Musen scheinen sich längst ins Bergland zurückgezogen zu haben und auch die Grazien sind nicht zu entdecken. Heute präsentiert sich Thessaloniki als laute, emsige City, in der fast eine Million Menschen leben.
