Sacrifice#

The ancient Greeks were afraid of the changing moods of their gods. Each god had a special sacrificial animal, like bulls for Zeuss, horses for Poseidon, cows for Hera. Most of the time only parts of the animal were scarificed, like bones or tails.
Die antiken Griechen fürchteten die Launen ihrer Götter. Jedem Gott war ein für ihn typisches Opfertier gewidmet, z.B. Stiere für Zeus, Pferde für Poseidon und Kühe für Hera. Dabei wurden jedoch meist nur Teile der Tiere verwendet, wie Knochen oder Schwänze.
