In Akrotiri gefundene Tontafeln liefern Anhaltspunkte dafür, dass die Stadt auch ein überregionales Textilzentrum war, in dem importierte Schafswolle zu kunstvollen Kleidungsstücken verarbeitet wurde. Zudem handelte man lukrativ mit Ölivenöl und Wein.
The clay tablets found in Akrotiri provide evidence that the city was also a trans-regional textile center, where imported sheep's wool was made into ornate garments. In addition, it was lucrative with olive oil and wine.
