Hoch über der antiken Stadt erhebt sich der Tempel der Göttin Isis, das offizielle Heiligtum der ägyptischen Götter. Vor allem in der Zeit des Hellenismus, als Griechenland – beginnend mit Alexander dem Großen – zur Weltmacht aufstieg, genoss die ägyptische Göttin der Liebe höchste Verehrung.
High above the antique city the temple of the godess Isis is located, the official sanctuary of the egyptian gods. Especially in times of hellenism, when Greece - starting with Alexander the Great - rose up to a global power, the egyptian godess of love enjoyed great worship.
