Am Grund der Schlucht entdeckt man die Ruinen des Klosters Katholikó, das im 16. Jahrhundert wegen der ständigen Überfälle sarazenischer Piraten aufgegeben wurde.
At the bottom of the gorge you can see the ruins of the monastery Katholikó, which was abandoned in the 16th century because of the constant raids of Saracen pirates.
