Today the main Protestant church in the community on the eastern edge of the old town serves also as a concert hall. Built in 1156 as a three-aisled basilica without transept in Romanesque style it was demolished again in 1427, only the lower floors of the western tower and the porch remained. In place of the basilica a Gothic church was built in individual phases until 1527.
Die evangelische Hauptkirche der Gemeinde am östlichen Rand der Altstadt dient heute auch als Konzertraum. Im Jahre 1156 als dreischiffige Basilika ohne Querschiff im romanischen Stil erbaut und 1427 wieder abgerissen, nur die Untergeschoße des Westturms und die Vorhalle blieben erhalten. An Stelle der Basilika wurde in einzelnen Bauphasen bis 1527 eine gotische Kirche errichtet.
