The Zwinger is a building complex including gardens which, in its artistic synthesis of architecture, sculpture and painting, is one of the most important buildings of the Baroque era and it is, besides the Church of Our Lady, Dresden's most famous monument. The Kronentor gate is a portal pavilion and as one of the most famous parts of the complex often its symbol.
Der Zwinger ist ein Gebäudekomplex mit Gartenanlage und gehört als Gesamtkunstwerk aus Architektur, Plastik und Malerei zu den bedeutenden Bauwerken des Barocks und ist neben der Frauenkirche das bekannteste Baudenkmal Dresdens. Das Kronentor ist ein Portalpavillon und als einer der bekanntesten Teile häufig das Sinnbild des Zwingers.
