Kamenz - Town Hall#

At the end of the 12th century a castle was erected on the site of the present old town of Kamenz Kamenz . Today, Kamenz is a large district town in the district of Bautzen and is located about 40 km north-east of Dresden. The town hall was built between 1847 and 1848 by Carl August Schramm, a follower of Karl Friedrich Schinkel, in Italian neo-renaissance style.

Ende des 12. Jahrhunderts wurde an der Stelle der heutigen Altstadt von Kamenz Kamenz eine Burg errichtet. Heute ist Kamenz eine große Kreisstadt im Landkreis Bautzen und liegt etwa 40 km nordöstlich von Dresden. Das Rathaus der Stadt wurde 1847 bis 1848 durch Carl August Schramm, einem Schüler von Karl Friedrich Schinkel, im Stil der italienischen Neorenaissance erbaut.
