Outside the ramparts several fortifications protected the pirates stronghold. Those wishing to explore them, should consult a tidal table, because when the high tide starts, the wide beaches of St. Malo are flooded quickly.
Vor der Stadtmauer schützten mehrere Festungsanlagen die Seeräuberhochburg. Wer sie erkunden möchte, sollte eine Gezeitentabelle zu Rate ziehen, denn wenn die Flut hereinbricht, sind die breiten Strände St. Malos schnell überschwemmt.
