Wie ein leuchtendes Juwel krönt die Kathedrale die leichte Anhöhe. Ihre Wurzeln gehen auf das Jahr 1094 zurück. Das heutige Aussehen erhielt das Gotteshaus erst 1880 nach einem großen Erdbeben. Seither ragen zwei 105 m hohe Türme über die neugotische Westfassade.
Like a shining pearl, the cathedral tops the little hill. Its roots go back to the year 1094. The church received its present appearance only in 1880 after a big earthquake. Since then, two 105 m high towers tower over the neo-Gothic west facade.
