Bilderbuchmäßig schmiegt sich die Inselhauptstadt Korčula Korcula City, Croatia um eine kleine Halbinsel. Kein Wunder, dass sie zu den beliebtesten Fotomotiven Kroatiens gehört. Bis 1420 behauptete sich die Stadt gegen die Venezianer. Dann gab sie auf und wurde von den neuen Herren praktisch neu gebaut.

The island's capital Korčula Korcula City, Croatia is located around a small peninsula, looking like in a picture book. No wonder it is one of the most popular photo subjects in Croatia. Until 1420, the city asserted itself against the Venetians. Then the people gave up and the city was practically rebuilt by the new masters.
