The Looshaus Looshaus, Michaelerplatz, Wien in Vienna is a quintessential example of Wiener Moderne (Vienna Modern Age) architecture (ca. 1890-1910), which eschewed external ornamentation. Upon completion in 1910, it initially shocked Viennas citizenry, who referred to it as the "house without eyebrows."
