From an international point of view, Uzbeks' living standard is low mid-table, but the economy is in the ascendant. Rich mineral resources of natural gas, gold, copper and uranium provide for a higher income. Also agriculture is booming. Uzbekistan is one of the world's most important exporters of cotton. But it also has high hopes of tourism. A good tourist infrastructure already exists in all major cities.
International betrachtet liegt der Lebensstandard der Usbeken im unteren Mittelfeld, doch die Wirtschaft befindet sich im Aufwind. Reiche Bodenschätze an Erdgas, Gold, Kupfer und Uran sorgen für steigende Einkünfte. Auch die Landwirtschaft boomt. Usbekistan gehört zu den weltweit wichtigsten Exporteuren von Baumwolle. Große Hoffnungen setzt man in den Tourismus. Eine gute touristische Infrastruktur existiert bereits in allen größeren Städten.
