Cotton Field#

One crop dominates 80% of Uzbekistan's arable land: cotton. If the harvest is due in autumn, all people have to be on the fields - without exception. Only those who have money can afford a harvest hand who achieves the quota specified by the government for each Uzbek.
Ein Anbauprodukt dominiert 80 % der Ackerflächen Usbekistans, die Baumwolle. Wenn im Herbst die Ernte ansteht, müssen alle auf die Felder – ohne Ausnahme. Nur wer Geld hat, kann einen Erntehelfer bezahlen, der die für jeden Usbeken staatlich festgesetzte Erntenorm erfüllt.
