Due to the frequent conflicts between the tribes concerning sources of water and pasture as well as the law of blood feud, the bedouins were considered quarrelsome and militant. In contrast, "hospitality", so to speak the "first law of the desert" took top priority.
Aufgrund der häufigen Stammesfehden um Wasserquellen und Weideland sowie dem Gesetz der Blutrache galten die Beduinen als streitsüchtig und kämpferisch. Im Gegensatz dazu hatte die „Gastfreundschaft“, gleichsam das „erste Gesetz der Wüste“ oberste Priorität.
