No one knows how the rocks weighing up to 1.200 tons were broken, transported and fitted into the fundament. Even the biggest obelisks of the Egyptians only had a quarter of the weight of the fundament plates of Baalbek.
Man weiß bis heute nicht, wie die bis zu 1200 Tonnen schweren Steine gebrochen, transportiert und exakt in das Fundament eingepasst wurden. Selbst die größten Obelisken der Ägypter brachten es höchstens auf ein Viertel des Gewichtes der Fundamentplatten von Baalbek.
