Golden Warrior Monument#

Already more than 2,700 years ago, the Saka, an Indo-European nomadic tribe settled in the area of Almaty. The most famous testimony of their culture is the 'Golden Warrior Monument' a fully preserved, richly ornamented armour made of gold belonging to a young Sakan prince. Since the very exciting find, the 'Golden Warrior Monument' is the national symbol of Kazakhstan.
Schon vor mehr als 2700 Jahren siedelten die Saken, ein indogermanisches Nomadenvolk in der Umgebung von Almaty. Das bekannteste Zeugnis ihrer Kultur ist der 'Goldene Mann', eine vollständig erhaltene, reich verzierte Rüstung aus Gold, die einem jungen sakischen Fürsten gehörte. Seit dem aufsehenerregenden Fund ist der „Goldene Mann“ das Nationalsymbol von Kasachstan.
