Indonesia is also the third largest producer of manioc, a starchy root that is used both as a cheap animal feed and as a basic food for humans. The flour produced from the root is processed similarly to wheat flour, but manioc can also be prepared similar to salt potatoes or fried after cooking similar to French fries or, like here, as chips.
Indonesien ist auch der drittgrößte Produzent von Maniok, einer stärkehaltigen Wurzel, die sowohl als billiges Futtermittel als auch als Grundnahrungsmittel für den Menschen verwendet wird. Das aus der Wurzel hergestellt Mehl wird ähnlich wie Weizenmehl verarbeitet, Maniok kann aber auch ähnlich wie Salzkartoffeln zubereitet oder nach dem Kochen frittiert werden ähnlich Pommes frites oder, wie hier, als Chips.
