Im königlichen Gebetsraum steht eine 2 m hohe Statue von Avalokiteshvara, dem Bodhisattva des Mitgefühls. Er ist der Schutzpatron Tibets und verkörpert unendliche Güte und Barmherzigkeit. Mit seinen zahlreichen Köpfen sieht er das Leid der Menschen und mit seinen 1000 Armen kann er helfen. Auch der Dalai Lama, das Oberhaupt der Tibeter, gilt als Wiedergeburt dieses Bodhisattvas.
In the royal prayer room is a 2m high statue of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of compassion. He is the patron saint of Tibet and embodies infinite goodness and mercy. With his numerous heads he sees the suffering of the people and with his 1000 arms he can help. Even the Dalai Lama, the head of the Tibetans, is considered the rebirth of this Bodhisattva.
