Direkt beim Hauptplatz erinnert ein martialisches Denkmal an den 2. Weltkrieg. Die Bewohner der Stadt sind nach wie vor stolz auf ihren berühmten Sohn und haben ihm sogar ein eigenes Museum gewidmet – eine Heldenverehrung der bizarren Art.
Right on the main square a martial memorial reminds one of the second world war. The inhabitants of the city are still proud of their popular son and have also devoted a museum to him - a bizzare way of hero worship.
