In the fields outside the town, the garlic harvest starts in early April. Over 80% of the world's garlic production come from China. As it is considered to be a good prophylaxis against influenza, the demand also leaps up in China and makes garlic a venture in demand.
Auf den Feldern vor der Stadt beginnt Anfang April die Knoblauchernte. Mittlerweile kommen über 80 % der weltweiten Knoblauchproduktion aus China. Weil die Knollenfrucht als gute Prophylaxe gegen Grippe gilt, steigt die Nachfrage auch in China sprunghaft an und macht den Knoblauch zum begehrten Spekulationsobjekt.
