Crescent Moon Lake is an oasis in the Singing Sands Mountains, six kilometers south of Dunhuang. The lake gets its name from its shape.
Activities in this area include camel riding, dune paragliding, and sand sledding. Most tourists visit in the evening to avoid the heat.
