The Grand Theater in Shanghai Shanghai, China , the largest city in China with over 20 million citizens. Shanghai was a multinational hub of finance and business in the 1930s before its development and prosperity were set back by half a century of Communism.

Economic reforms of the 1990s revitalized the city. Today it is the largest center of commerce and investment in China, as well as a popular tourist destination.

The distinctive tall building in the background, Tomorrow Square, houses a hotel and apartment units.
