Zwei Häuser weiter darf man die Ikone der Unabhängigkeit bewundern. Die Liberty Bell, eine fast 1000 kg schwere Glocke, erklang während der ersten öffentlichen Verlesung der Unabhängigkeitserklärung. Seitdem gilt die Glocke als Symbol für die freie Welt, für Demokratie und Menschenrechte.
Two houses further you can admire the icon of independence. The Liberty Bell, a bell weighing almost 1000 kg, tolled during the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence. Since then, the bell has been a symbol of the free world, of democracy and human rights.
