Den Eingang zur Memorial Plaza bildet eine neue U-Bahnstation mit angeschlossenen Einkaufszentrum, das von einem lichtdurchfluteten Glasbauwerk überdacht ist. Es sollte nach den Plänen des spanischen Architekten eine Friedenstaube symbolisieren, doch finanzielle Probleme machten eine leichte Abänderung des Entwurf notwendig. Aus der Friedentaube wurde – so behaupten Spötter – ein bewegungsunfähiger Stegosaurus.
A new subway station functions as the entrance to the Memorial Plaza with a shopping center covered by a light-flooded glass building. According to the plans of the Spanish architect it was supposed to symbolize a peace dove, but financial problems called for a slight modification of the design. The pigeon became - so the mockers - a paralysed Stegosaurus.
