1652 ließ der niederländische Gouverneur im Norden der damaligen Stadt Neu Amsterdam einen Schutzwall gegen Indianerüberfälle errichten, Davon hat die Wall Street ihren Namen. Heute tickt hier der Puls der Finanzwelt.
In the north of the then city of New Amsterdam the Dutch governor built in 1652 a protective wall against Indian attacks, of which Wall Street has its name. Today, the pulse of the financial world is beating here.
