In den unterirdischen Tresoren der Federal Reserve lagert die größte Goldmenge der Erde, 10.000 t Barrengold im Wert von etwa 400 Mrd. Dollar. Es gehört, anders als die Reserven in Fort Knox, jedoch zum Großteil ausländischen Staaten.
In the Federal Reserve's underground strongrooms, the largest amount of gold in the world is stored: 10,000 t of gold bullion worth about $ 400 billion. Unlike the reserves at Fort Knox, it belonges mostly to foreign states.
