The French Market 29.959,-90.0603 is a market and series of commercial buildings spanning 6 blocks in the French Quarter. The market is the oldest of its kind in the United States and was founded as a Native American trading post before the European colonization. It originally began where the Café du Monde currently stands and has been rebuilt and renovated several times.
