Cannons at Fort Ticonderoga#

Cannons at Fort Ticonderoga in New York state facing north towards Lake Champlain. The star-shaped fort was constructed by the French between 1755 and 1758 to protect the lake from British forces approaching from the south.
Originally called Fort Carillon, it was renamed Fort Ticonderoga when the British captured the stronghold in 1759.
