The centre of the small capital lies around the clocktower erected in 1903, which, despite its unusual design, became the landmark of the Seychelles. And the fact that he announces the full hour twice - one minute apart - became the refrain of a popular song: 'Come back to the Seychelles where the bell tolls twice.'.
Das Zentrum der kleinen Hauptstadt gruppiert sich um den 1903 aufgestellten Uhrturm, der trotz seiner merkwürdigen Gestaltung zum Wahrzeichen der Seychellen wurde. Und die Tatsache, dass er die volle Stunde gleich zweimal verkündet – im Abstand von einer Minute – wurde zum Refrain eines populären Liedes: 'Komm zurück auf die Seychellen, wo die Uhr zweimal schlägt.'.
