The dates are sweet, energetic, full of vital substances and easily preservable. These characteristics make them the 'bread of the desert'. Their stones serve as animal feed, the palm leaves as construction material and from their sap is fermented to palm wine or beer.
Die Früchte sind süß, energiereich, voller Vitalstoffe und gut konservierbar. Diese Eigenschaften machen sie zum 'Brot der Wüste'. Die Kerne dienen als Tierfutter, die Palmwedeln als Baumaterial und aus dem Saft des Baumes gewinnt man Palmwein oder Palmbier.
