The Berber houses of the 1,800 m high Ait Bougoummez valley, which is on the electrical grid only for a few years, appear picturesque and archaic at the same time. For up to 4 months a year, the valley is cut off from the outside world due to snow. The area owes its name to the lush greenery and the magnificent scenery of four-thousanders: 'Valley of Happiness'. However, the idyll must not hide the fact that only hard work makes a still comfortless life for people possible here.
