Through this Axumite wooden door one enters the church which is approximately 900 years old. However, the magnificent wall paintings date back to the 19th century. They tell stories from the Bible and about the life of the then Emperor.
Durch eine axumitische Holztüre betritt man die etwa 900 Jahre alte Kirche. Die prächtigen Wandmalereien stammen jedoch aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Sie erzählen Geschichten aus der Bibel und berichten vom Leben des damaligen Kaisers.
