The Konso are considered to be skilled farmers cultivating corn and above all sorghum. The millet is the basic food of sub-Saharan Africa. It is processed into pulp or flat bread and also serves as the basis for beer-making.
Die Konso gelten als geschickte Ackerbauern, die Mais und vor allem Sorghum anbauen. Das Hirsegewächs bildet das Grundnahrungsmittel Schwarzafrikas. Es wird zu Brei oder Fladenbrot verarbeitet und dient als Basis für die Bierherstellung.
