Fences made of knobby wood protect three to four circular huts constituting a kraal. There, a large family lives together with its animals in the tightest of spaces. Conscious of the fact that every woman in rural areas has an average of 7-10 children, one estimates the population of the small village to be around 300 people - until he is told the real number of inhabitants: more than 4,000.
