Alcala Gate#

The Puerta de Alcala (Alcala Gate) Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de la Independencia, Madrid, ... monument in the Plaza de la Independencia (Independence Square) in Madrid. Inaugurated by King Carlos III in 1778, it originally functioned as an enormous gate in the citys wall.
