One of the top postcard motives in Ireland is the Poulnabrone Dolmen Poulnabrone Dolmen , a megalithic grave located in the Burren. It is dating back to the Neolithic period, probably between 4.200 BC and 2.900 BC. During excavations mortal remains of sixteen to twenty-two adults and of six children were found. The dolmen consists of a twelve-foot, thin, slab-like, tabular capstone supported by two slender portal stones, which support the capstone.
