The fountain Schöner Brunnen Schöner Brunnen , a main attraction of Nuremberg, was built between 1385 and 1396 and is a 19 metre high fountain, in the shape of a Gothic spire, located on Nuremberg's Hauptmarkt. Forty colourful figures representing the world view of the Holy Roman Empire adorn the fountain. A fence surrounds the monument on which two brass rings are embedded on opposite sides. Spinning these rings is said to bring good luck.
