Elne- Fortification and church#

The old city of Elne Elne, France , from the heights of its fortified site, dominates the narrow plane of Roussillon between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean.

It lies in the former province of Roussillon, of which it was the first capital. It was later replaced by Perpignan.
