A visit to the Kakadu National Park should include a visit to the rock formations of Ubirr at the edge of the Nadab floodplain. Ubirr is reached by a paved road from Jabiru

which is 40 km away. Even though the rock formations are unusual, they are not the reason why most people visit the site but rather the rock paintings done by Aborigials. An easy stroll from the parking lot takes you to the paintings.
Innerhalb des Kakadu-Nationalparks sollte man unbedingt die Felsformationen von Ubirr am Rande der Nadab floodplain besuchen. Ubirr erreicht man über eine asphaltierte Straße von dem etwa 40 km entfernten Jabiru

aus. Auch wenn schon die Felsformationen ungewöhnlich ausschauen, sind es doch die Felsmalereien der Aborigines die die Besucher anlocken. Ganz bequem startet der ein kilometerlange Rundweg von einem Parkplatz aus.
