Reddish shimmering and golden shining sand dunes, as far as the eye can see: The Liwa Oasis United Arab Emirates, Liwa , an arc-shaped collection of about 40 villages, sprawls on the edge of the legendary desert Rub al Khali near the border with Saudi Arabia. It is not only the origin of the Bedouin tribe of the Bani Yas, the founders of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, but also one of the most beautiful areas of the UAE. Nowhere else in the country the dunes can be explored in a more impressive and comfortable way than here.

Rötlich schimmernde und golden glänzenden Sanddüne, so weit das Auge reicht: Die Liwa-Oasen Vereinigte Arabische Emirate, Liwa , eine Ansammlung von etwa 40 Dörfern, erstrecken sich bogenförmig am Rand der legendären Wüste Rub al Khali nahe der Grenze zu Saudi Arabien. Sie sind nicht nur der Ursprungsort des Beduinenstammes der Bani Yas, den Gründern von Abu Dhabi und Dubai, sondern bilden auch eine der schönsten Gegenden der Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate. Nirgendwo sonst im Land lässt sich die Dünenwüste beeindruckender und komfortabler erleben als hier.
