Ded Shukar Monument#
Ded Shukar is the hero of a novel by Mikhail Sholokhov, known for his writing about the life and fate of Don Cossacks during the Russian revolution, the civil war and the period of collectivization. In 1965 he received the Nobel Prize in Literature.
