Even if you would not suspect it on the first glance: the Philippine education system, based on the model of the USA, is one of the most developed ones in Asia. Four years of compulsory education have ensured that the illiteracy rate has declined steadily until it is now below 10 %.
Obwohl man es auf den ersten Blick gar nicht vermuten würde: Das nach Vorbild der USA gestaltete philippinische Bildungssystem gehört zu den am weitesten entwickelten in Asien. Eine vierjährige Schulpflicht konnte sicherstellen, dass die Analphabetenrate kontinuierlich sinkt und bereits unter 10 % liegt.
