Devotees burn sacrifice money and huge bell-shaped coils of incense that hang from the temple's ceiling in hope of attracting the benevolence of the gods and the attention of the ancestors. To pause for a moment in the temple forms a pleasant contrast to the hectic life of the neighbourhood.
