The Hong Kong Museum of Art, the main art museum of Hong Kong, shows collections of Chinese antiquities and fine art, paintings and calligraphies, historical pictures as well as tea ware and seals. The museum closed in 2015 for an extensive, multi-year renovation. In 2016, it will enter a stage of transformation ― offering more variety. The museum will interact with audiences and launch a series of art education outreach programmes. The research on local art history will be strengthened.
