Ollantaytambo -13.2582838,-72.3005211 is an archaeological site about 60 km from Cusco, located at an altitude of 2.792 m above sea level.

At the time of the Spanish conquest of Peru it served as a stronghold for the leader of the Inca resistance.

Nowadays it is one of the most common starting points for the famous four-day hike called „ Inca Trail“.
