Why does the woman of the Herero wear an elaborate and warm dress in the heat (nearly 40 degrees Celsius)? Because Christian missionaries told them that god would like the native people better if they were dressed this way! Dolls and garments are sewed with a Singer sewing machine!
Warum die Herero Frau ein so aufwendiges und warmes Kleid in der Hitze (knapp 40 Grad) trägt? Weil die christlichen Missionare den Einheimischen einreden konnten, dass man so Gott besser gefällt! Puppen und Kleider werden mit Singer Nähmaschinen genäht!
