The Anima-garden of André Heller near Marrakech#

André Heller was able to do something very special here. Maybe one could think that the garden is just a beautiful subtropical park to walk around and enjoy the fresh air. But it is much more. Heller created, out of literally nothing, an experience to relax wihtout mental effort and to "find oneself". This park creates a feeling of personla happiness within you! I spent two hours with friends there, but we could easily also have spent four hours or two days, just to be there, to read or write a bit, and drink tea with some special people.

In my opinion Heller is exceptional as artist by not just placing his creations somewhere to be stared at, but by creating a world of new experiences that teach the spectator facts about the world, but, yes, also to make spectators happy. By spending some time in this execeptional garden one can reach a level of medidative contentment, simply by walking around, looking, sitting in the sun, enjoying suprises and exhibits that make you smile. This is what paradise could be like!
